Dr. Joseph A. Williams believes that sharing knowledge is empowering others. However, he also believes that being armed with knowledge alone is only the first step in the learning process. The most important step to improve overall performance is when and how the organization transforms knowledge into action tasks that can be measured against a desired goal. He shares his work experience and knowledge with public and private audiences. As a motivational speaker, Dr. Williams connects with audiences by using a common sense approach that focuses on the relationship between decision-making and the incentive to implement the decision to achieve a desired goal. His observation is that organizations, both public and private, innovate for the sake of innovation. While making a decision to innovate is necessary to the success of any business, no decision is better than the motivation to carry it out. Thus, he offers a human behavioral perspective to address the root cause of the motivational issue. The root cause provides a sustainable solution vs. a quick fix.
